POLICIES AND POSITIONS
Denny LaVé isn’t just another Republican, and his policies prove it.
Take a Look:
My POLICIES
-
Immigration
Solving the immigration crises that we are facing nationally will be a top priority of mine as your Senator, starting with Building The Wall. Any other policy to address the immigration crisis must be coupled with building the wall, and more long-term border security and stability in general. If a wall isn’t built, then all this administration has done is just put a bandaid on that will not hold. We need the border to be secured permanently, not just when Republicans are in office.
Additionally, as your Senator, I will work to end all loopholes surrounding E-Verify. I used E-Verify for my construction business. Currently, House bill HB704 is up for vote in the Idaho legislature, which will mandate all Idaho businesses use E-Verify. This bill needs to pass in Idaho and a national E-Verify bill also needs to pass so corporations and businesses nationally are required to use E-Verify accurately and compliantly to ensure American jobs are not being replaced illegally.
As your Senator, I will also work to end the abuses of systems for legal immigration. We have so much talent in America, and we must drastically reduce the reliance on H-1B, H-2B, and other Visa programs, as well as university reliance on F-1 Student Visas. We need to increase the fees to companies who wish to hire through these Visa programs, so American workers aren’t undercut.

AFFORDABILITY
The cost of living in Idaho has risen sharply in recent years, driven by surging housing prices, higher rents, and increased expenses for essentials like food, energy, childcare, and transportation. This leaves many Idahoans struggling to make ends meet despite a strong economy and low unemployment.
As your Senator, I will fight this burden by expanding the child tax credit and standard deduction to provide meaningful tax relief for families, indexing standard deductions more aggressively to better keep pace with inflation, and pushing housing supply reforms that include new incentives such as tax credits for first-time home buyers to make homeownership more accessible and help ease the ongoing affordability crisis.
For energy, I will champion expanding all forms of domestic energy production, with a special emphasis on nuclear power that enjoys strong support across Idaho thanks to our leadership at the Idaho National Laboratory and ongoing initiatives for advanced reactors; I will also work to reform the energy permitting process by streamlining federal and state approvals while expanding local control to cut red tape, accelerate responsible development, and bring down long-term energy prices for hardworking Idahoans. -
Foreign Policy
As your Senator, I will advance a foreign policy that puts America First and Idaho First by demanding true allied burden-sharing, requiring our NATO and other partners to meet their agreed-upon defense spending targets so that hardworking Idaho taxpayers are no longer subsidizing the security of wealthy nations that fail to pull their weight in confronting shared threats.
Additionally, I will work to refocus our military on great-power competition and hemispheric defense, shifting resources away from endless nation-building missions overseas. America First means deterring major rivals, particularly by strengthening protection of the Western Hemisphere, ensuring our forces, including the brave men and women of the Idaho National Guard and contributions from the Idaho National Laboratory to national security and critical materials, are prepared for the real challenges that threaten our homeland and interests.
Above all, I will insist that Congress must reclaim its constitutional power and right to declare war. In addition I will fight to limit unilateral executive branch decisions leading to war and restore constitutional checks and balances to prevent unnecessary entanglements, protect Idaho families from the costs of prolonged conflicts, and honor the sacrifices of our service members by committing American troops only when vital national interests are clearly at stake and the people's representatives have spoken. -
Trade
As your Senator, I will prioritize strategic supply chain independence to protect Idaho's economy and national security from unnecessary reliance on foreign sources. To build resilience, I will advocate for targeted incentives to boost domestic production of key items like semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and rare earth minerals, leveraging Idaho's resources, expertise at Idaho National Laboratory, and potential for domestic extraction to create jobs, strengthen our defense industrial base, and reduce vulnerabilities in global supply chains.
I will also champion trade reciprocity by supporting tariffs or restrictions on countries that heavily subsidize exports and engage in unfair practices, ensuring a level playing field for Idaho's vital agricultural exports—such as dairy, potatoes, wheat, and barley—that support thousands of jobs and contribute billions to our state's economy while preventing retaliatory actions from harming hardworking farmers and producers.
-
Healthcare
As Senator, I will work to ensure hospitals and insurers publish real prices. But radical transparency is not enough, we also need capped maximum markups on real hard costs, to combat price gauging through vertical supply chain extension and layered markups.
Additionally, I will work to expand acute trauma centers in Idaho as well as clinics and hospitals in general, throughout the state but particularly through federal programs such as the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) from the “Big Beautiful Bill,” in order to strengthen healthcare for the underserved rural communities throughout the state of Idaho.
-
SPENDING AND WASTE
As your Senator, I will champion fiscal responsibility and end Washington’s wasteful spending. The national debt exceeding $39 trillion in 2026 has burdened Idaho families with massive interest costs while both parties have recklessly spent trillions on ineffective programs.
Mandatory spending now far exceeds tax revenues and must be stopped. We must enforce a hard rule that mandatory spending cannot exceed incoming tax revenues to stop this out-of-control autopilot growth. We need to go beyond merely balancing the budget; we must aggressively work to eliminate the national debt entirely through disciplined reforms that prioritize efficiency, cut waste, and restore fiscal sanity. I will fight to replace massive continuing resolution omnibus bills, forcing every program to justify its expenses and costs from the ground up each year to eliminate duplication, inefficiency, and failed initiatives.

MAKE IDAHO FAITHFUL AGAIN
I want everyone in this country to think the word “faith” when they hear “Idaho.”That is my mission. As Senator, I will defend life at all stages and defend your family’s right to be a family.
My faith is not a prop. It is the code on how I live my life. I pray every day. My wife and I have raised six sons in the Christian faith, right here in Idaho. We are active in our faith because it is the right thing to do. None of that is for a campaign. Idaho deserves a Senator who actually lives a life of faith, and my faith will be the reason I don't lose myself when I get to Washington.
